WHIDBEY ISLAND
This is a year-long invitation to artists of all kinds from painters, fiber artists, and photographers, to potters, sculptors, wood carvers, and Native American artists.
The Pacific NorthWest Art School is hosting a series of Gallery Exhibitions entitled
Whidbey Preservation Art.
The challenge for you is to create art work that reflects
what we love about Whidbey Island and
what we want to save and share.
Any topic qualifies: historic sites, homes, groups of old cottages, barns, farm land and other landscapes that may vanish, herds of farm animals, even unique and/or historic art works.
Exhibitions/Sales run from November 2009 through November 2010.
Submission/Show Dates:
October 15-31, 2009
For November 5-25, 2009 Show
January 28-February 5, 2010
For February 12-26, 2010 Show
For June 1-30, 2010 Show
November 1-10, 2010
For November 15-24, 2010 Show
Submission/Artist Criteria:
Must be members of the Pacific NorthWest Art School (Call 360.678.3396 to join);
May submit up to 3 pieces per show series;
Provide description and what aspect of Whidbey is captured;
Fresh work - must be less than 1 year old;
Entries will be juried;
Submissions must meet Members' Gallery standards (call 360 678 3396)
Commission: Artists receive 65% of the sales price, 35% goes to PNW Art School.
