The current membership of 150 blends new weavers and spinners as well as renowned fiber artists. The best exhibition of that range of talent is at Uncommon Threads, a sale in early November, and at Spin-In, the first weekend in April.

Outreach events extend our talents into the region with information, displays or demonstrations; Island County Fair is the largest outreach event. It is a grand opportunity to display the diversity of our fiber art creations in our booth.

Workshops are scheduled through the annual year. Teachers come from within our membership, from throughout the region and from afar. The Guild library is a large and diverse collection of books and journals for you to borrow. There is also equipment that can be checked out.

The Guild annually awards study funds for workshops and classes and the Janet Bratz Memorial grant for major projects. In the past few years the grants have covered independent study, translation of a Swedish braiding manuscript, materials for a loom bench, while the study funds have been used for a myriad of study opportunities to enhance skills.

Volunteering in these many activities generates both friendships and a deeper appreciation of fiber art. We welcome your participation.
